At Epstein Hillel School, we pride ourselves on serving children by meeting their individual learning needs.
Our strong Learning Center program, through which we work closely with students to build their skills and encourage them to take on new challenges, reflects our commitment to serving our whole community.
We are able to provide direct services across a range of areas including reading, written language, math, organizational and study skills, and speech and language. We also arrange Hebrew support for students with little or no Hebrew background to allow for a more seamless transition to our school. Our dedicated Learning Center staff is comprised of a director of student services, a reading specialist, a special education teacher, a math specialist and a speech language pathologist. In addition to offering direct services, through both pullout and inclusion models, LC staff monitor student progress, serve as on-site resources for teachers, attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other specialists, and develop individualized curricula for their students as needed.
