EHS / JCCNS Partnership

Dear EHS Parents,

It was great to see many of you at our Gala. It was wonderful to celebrate with current and alumni parents, community leaders, and friends of the Stahl family. The North Shore is so unique in that organizations partner together to ensure a thriving Jewish community. 

In that spirit, we wanted to provide an update on the evolving relationship between the JCCNS and EHS. Over the past year, JCCNS and EHS have been working closely on new programming that we both believe reflects the needs and wants of our North Shore Jewish community. These initiatives include a joint summer STEM camp, our PreK classroom, and the JCCNS’s 3-year-old room in our building.

Research shows that the best way to attract families to Jewish day schools is by connecting with them years before schooling starts. Fortunately, the JCCNS has a thriving early childhood center/preschool, and they want to support our efforts to keep families engaged in Jewish life on the Hill by considering a Jewish day school education at EHS. Karen Robinson, JCCNS Director of Marketing, is working with Rebecca, Tamar, and our marketing committee, and we are grateful for their offer to help. We are excited to reach more families through the JCCNS’s large network, and look forward to exploring new approaches to recruitment and marketing through this partnership and our recently-launched parent ambassador program. 

As we look to grow our partnership, we’ve invited JCCNS leadership to get to know EHS more deeply. Some of you have taken part in focus groups they organized to learn from the experiences of current and alumni families. JCCNS leaders and staff have also spent time in our building and joined our events to experience firsthand the culture, community, joy, and excellence that define EHS. We are grateful to the parents who have already participated and to those preparing to host upcoming parlor meetings.
