Transportation

As the Jewish Day School of the North Shore, our families come from near and far. We realize that getting your child to and from school safely is a top priority, and therefore, we contract with a leading bus company to provide top-quality transportation to and from school. The number of buses and specific routes change each year depending on the number of students taking the bus. The “bus families”, as this sub-community is called, meet together and decide, in partnership with the school and bus company, the route and pick up/drop off spots. The buses come equipped with car seats, should you be worried about your child’s safety, and are small 14-seat passenger vans rather than the big yellow school buses. The bus is a great way for kids to interact and meet students in other grades, and for parents to meet other families that live in their area.

In the 2020-2021 school year, there were two buses. One route was Peabody/Beverly/Salem, and the other was Stoneham/Wakefield/Saugus. There is an additional cost to ride the bus.
