Next Rehearsal: May 7th at Temple Sinai from 3:15—5:00 PM
Dear Cast,
We’re almost at the finish line! 🙂
This week (May 7), we will have another run-through, so everyone is needed for rehearsal. We will practice at Temple Sinai for the first time, so make sure to memorize every single line, song, and dance move.
Pick up will be from Temple Sinai as well!
I will soon post a more detailed schedule for tech week, but I can already share that we will have a rehearsal every day (Monday through Thursday) until 6:00 PM.
The first show will be on Thursday night (May 14) at 7:00 PM.
The second show will be on Friday morning (May 15), and the final matinee will be on Sunday (May 17).

Rehearsals
Rehearsals for Speaking Roles and Chorus:
- Thursdays, 3:15-5:00 PM, beginning September 25. Depending on your role, you may not be needed at every rehearsal. If you are not called, you will be notified in advance AND it will be posted here.
- Fridays during electives, starting after Winter Break
- Every afternoon Monday-Thursday after school May 11-14 (including evening performance on the 15th)
- Performances on Thursday, May 14, in the evening; Friday, May 15, during the day for the Lower School; and twice on Sunday, May 17 (mid-morning through late afternoon).
Rehearsals for Production Staff & Crew (Stage Manager, stage crew, props, makeup, design, etc.):
- Availability Friday electives starting after February break through production week, and Thursdays after school if necessary, near the end, TBD, and announced.
- Every afternoon Monday-Thursday after school, May 11 – 14 (including evening performance on the 15th)
- Performances on Thursday, May 15, in the evening; Friday, May 16, during the day for the Lower School; and twice on Sunday, May 17 (mid-morning through late afternoon).
Production Week
- Production week is May 11 – 17, 2025.
- Performances will be on Thursday, May 14 in the evening; Friday, May 15 during the day for the Lower School; and twice on Sunday, May 17 (in the afternoon)

Auditions, September 11 & 18
- Auditions will take place on September 11 and September 18, from 3:15 – 5:00 PM.*Â Â
- Auditions are required for anyone trying out for the cast (acting, singing, and chorus). Please note that there are 20 larger/speaking roles.Â
- Students who wish to be backstage crew members do not need to audition but must complete an Interest/Agreement Form.
Audition requirements:
- If you are auditioning for a singing/speaking role, please prepare a song to sing in advance. You may audition a cappella (vocals only) or sing with musical accompaniment. If you would like accompaniment, please bring the music for Mr. Ori to accompany you to the audition, or bring an instrumental track with no vocals to accompany you. Please note that while the you should prepare the whole song, you might only be asked to sing a portion of it.
- All students must bring a completed Interest/Agreement Form to the audition. This form must be read carefully and signed by the student and their parent(s).
*If you are on the EHS Huskies soccer team playing in the Sept. 11 game after school, your audition will take place on September 18.

Congratulations to all of you on such a successful first round of auditions! You truly made me proud, and I think it’s safe to say these were the most impressive auditions I’ve ever experienced.
In the list below, you will find a specific song from the play that I am asking you to prepare for next Thursday. The songs were chosen so that Ms. C and I can see different sides of your vocal and theatrical talent. Shared here are the guide vocal and accompaniment tracks so you can practice. In addition to your song, you will be asked to act out a short scene from the play that will be given to you on the spot.
