In a world that seems more divided than ever, where words are being thrown around more as weapons than as blessings, music is perhaps our only universal language that can bring people together. Just as the beloved children’s book writer Hans Christian Andersen said: “Where words fail, music speaks.”

In tonight’s program, you will hear songs celebrating the world, the beauty it has to offer, and the joy and magic that the people and wonders around us bring, with all their differences and specialties.

I have had a wonderful time working with the students up to this point, but none of this would have happened without the help of so many.

I would like to thank Amy Gold, our one and only Head of School, who has been leading the community through these challenging times and has been a constant supporter of the arts and music at EHS.

Yaniv Havusha, thank you for your ongoing support and help behind the scenes, always with a smile and warmth.

Aaron Zev Katz, thank you for another partnership as an accompanist and for your work on sound design for this musical celebration.
