After School Clubs

EHS Spring after-school club registration is now open.

Please note that there is a minimum and maximum number of students for each activity. We will notify you if there is a change to the schedule due to participation numbers.  Contact Mindee Greenberg at mgreenberg@epsteinhillel.org for more information.

For students who were previously enrolled in Destination Imagination or who are interested in learning more about the program.  Students will solve “instant challenges” involving creativity, performance, and teamwork.   They will learn technical, building, and improvisation skills often used in Destination Imagination challenges.


Monday:

Have you ever wondered how a song gets written from the idea to Spotify?  Students will have the opportunity to express themselves through writing their own songs with instruction from professional musician/producer Aaron Zev Katz.  Students will learn to play their songs live for a final performance using drums, keyboards, guitars and vocals.

Students at all levels  will enjoy this opportunity to learn the fundamentals of chess and improve their game.

SPEED Larosse is a lifetime sport sharing many characteristics with field lacrosse, box lacrosse and baketball. it is played 3v3 on a 40 x 20 yard court. All you need is a standard lacrosse tick and mouthguard. In this class, students wil learn fundamental skills and then enjoy plating with their friends. Learn to play and instrument and jam with your friends in an after school band.  We will also record and do live performances.  This elective teaches communication skills, problem solving and learning to work with a team.  Be in a Band builds confidence and will help the participants identify and develop their unique artistic vision and voice.  Students in this club can stay after school for homework club, or volunteer with the Music and Movement Club for younger students.

Do you like Minecraft?  Do you want to learn more about the Torah?  Well, you are in luck!  In this round of Minecraft and the Torah, we are going to look at how the Book of Exodus describes the Tabernacle and then build it!

Learn how to throw clay in EHS’S state-of-the-art Innovation Center.  Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of ceramics.  They will focus on developing basic hand building, sculpting, and glazing skills, and will learn how to use the pottery wheel. Students will have structured projects with the freedom to explore their own creative ability.  Projects will have an emphasis on Judaic art that will be fired and glazed in our kiln.  Students will take home their art and be able to use their beautiful work.
