After School Clubs

EHS Fall after-school club registration is now open.

Please note that there is a minimum and maximum number of students for each activity. We will notify you if there is a change to the schedule due to participation numbers. Depending on enrollment, transportation options may be available for our bus families. Contact Mindee Greenberg at mgreenberg@epsteinhillel.org for more information.

Students at all levels  will enjoy this opportunity to learn the fundamentals of chess and improve their game.

Destination Imagination is an international program where students work in teams to solve challenges, and then present their challenge solution at a tournament in March.  Challenges include STEM, performance arts, visual arts and service-learning. In DI, teamwork, creativity, and outside-the-box thinking are encouraged and celebrated. EHS teams will be organized by grades. For more information: https://www.madikids.org

Students will learn both traditional circle dances along with modern line dances in this upbeat and high-energy class.  Kochavei Hayam will perform at the MIT Israeli Dance Festival along with other NS Jewish community events.

Have you ever wondered how a song gets from the idea to Spotify? Students will have the opportunity to express themselves through writing their own songs with instruction from professional musician/producer Aaron Zev Katz. Students will learn to play their songs live for a final performance using drums, keyboards, guitars, and vocals.

Middle school students will enhance their performance skills as they focus on vocal technique, stage presence, and choreography. This course is recommended for students who want a lead in the middle school musical.  This course will be offered again from January – June as a requirement for students who have lead roles in the musical.

Learn how to throw clay in EHS’s state-of-the-art Innovation Center with Eva Mintz-Bacon and Miri Sharon.  Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of ceramics.  They will focus on developing basic hand building, sculpting, and glazing skills, and will learn pottery wheel techniques.  Students will have weekly instruction, with structured projects and freedom to explore their own creative ability.  Projects will have an emphasis on Judaic art that will be fired and glazed in our kiln!  Students will take home their art and be able to use their beautiful work.

Thursdays:  4:30pm – 5:30pm (Grades 4 – 8)

Students will enjoy expressing themselves through music and dance. This spirited and creative class will include making musical instruments, drumming, movement, and a lot of fun!

Cost:  $90 

Speed Lacrosse is a lifetime sport sharing many characteristics with field lacrosse, box lacrosse and basketball.  It is played 3v3 on a 40×20 yard court.  All you need is a standard lacrosse stick and a mouthguard.   Students will learn fundamental skills and then enjoy playing with their friends.  No experience needed, it is a great sport for ALL ages. Students will be divided into groups based on age.
