After School Clubs

EHS Fall 2023 after-school club registration is now CLOSED!

If you have questions regarding any of the after-school offerings, please email either Jessie Winkler or Lea Winkler.

Students will enjoy expressing themselves through music and dance.  This spirited and creative class will include singing, drumming, movement, and a lot of fun!

Time:  3:15pm – 4:15pm

Dates:  Mondays from September 11, 2023 – November 13, 2023 (no classes Sept 25th for Yom Kippur and Oct 9th for Indigenous Peoples Day)

Number of Weeks:  8 weeks

Instructor: Aaron Zev Katz

Grades: K – 3

Cost:  $160

Students will have the opportunity to work on their homework in a quiet, supervised space. Students will set goals and have regular check-ins to help them meet these goals during this time. This is not a tutoring time, however it is a great opportunity for students to work independently.

This club is offered at no cost for students enrolled in Ping Pong/Board Ball.

Time:   3:15pm – 4:15pm

Board Ball is a fast paced indoor paddle game. Students will learn and practice the different skills to play both board ball and ping pong. All equipment will be provided. Students should come prepared with clothing that is appropriate. 

Homework Club will be available for free from 3:15 – 4:15 for older students enrolled in Ping Pong/Board Ball.

SPEED Lacrosse is a lifetime sport sharing many characteristics with field lacrosse, box lacrosse and basketball. It is played 3v3 on a 40×20 yard court. All you need is a standard lacrosse stick and mouthguard. In this class, students will learn fundamental skills and then enjoy playing with their friends. No experience needed and a great sport for ALL ages!

Students with lead roles in the Upper School musical are enrolled in this class. 

There is no cost for this class for those who participate.  NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME.

Destination Imagination is an international program where students work in teams to solve challenges, and then present their challenge solution at a tournament in March.  Challenges include STEM, performance arts, visual arts and service-learning. In DI, teamwork, creativity, and outside-the-box thinking are encouraged and celebrated. EHS teams will be organized and by grades.

Students at all levels will enjoy this opportunity to learn the fundamentals of chess and improve their game. Students in kindergarten will be introduced to a variety of board and card games.

Learn how to throw clay in EHS’s state-of-the-art Innovation Center with Eva Mintz-Bacon and Miri Sharon. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of ceramics. They will focus on developing basic hand building, sculpting, and glazing skills, and will learn how to use the pottery wheel. Students will have weekly instruction, structured projects with freedom to explore their own creative ability. Project will have an emphasis on Judaic art that will be fired and glazed in our kiln! Students will take home their art and be able to use their beautiful work.

Dates:  Thursdays from September 14, 2023 – November 16, 2023 (No class November 9th due to Parent – Teacher conferences.)

Number of Weeks:  10 weeks

Grades:  Kindergarten – Grade 3

Learn to play your instrument and jam with your friends in an after school band. We will also record and do live performances. This club teaches communication skills, problem solving and learning to work with a team. Be in a Band builds confidence and will help the participants identify and develop their unique artistic vision and voice. Students will have the opportunity to express themselves through writing their own songs.
